Quality / CAPABILITY
Quality Assurance
ITPs, hold points, inspections, testing, records and practical close-out controls built around the civil work being delivered.

Built around the work.
Quality is easier to manage while the work is visible. Livic plans the inspections, tests and records around the construction sequence.
At Livic Civil, quality means doing the job properly. That starts before the crew gets to site, with people who understand the drawings, the requirements and what needs checking as the work goes in.
Our job is to give them the right information, training, gear and support to deliver it. We check the work as we go, keep the records and deal with issues when we find them. If something changes, we make sure the people doing the work know about it.
We also take what we learn into the next job. Feedback from our crews, subcontractors and clients helps us improve how we plan, build and check our work. We want people to be proud of what they have built, and confident it meets the requirements.
We verify the work as it goes in. Inspections, test results and site records help us confirm it meets the agreed requirements, pick up issues early and show the client what has been delivered. Quality assurance is provided progressively throughout the job, not held back until the end.
Inspection & test planning
At project set-up, senior Livic Civil team members review the specification and agreed scope, map the inspection and test plan (ITP) requirements, and identify hold points, acceptance criteria, witness responsibilities and records. That gives the delivery team a practical process for capturing every required check while the work is visible.
Records close to the work
Link material deliveries, inspection records, test results and survey information to the relevant asset or work area. Raise defects and discrepancies while they can still be addressed.
Changes & close-out
Record approved departures and complete the agreed corrective actions. Assemble the handover information progressively rather than trying to reconstruct the job at the end.
A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
Good questions.
How does your quality management plan guide the work?
Our quality policy sets the direction: Plan it. Build it. Check it. Communicate it. Improve it.
The quality management plan puts that into practice for the project. It sets out the requirements, who is responsible, what needs inspecting or testing, and the records needed for handover. That gives the site team a clear understanding of what is expected before work starts and what needs checking before the next stage can proceed.
Livic Civil management is responsible for making sure the system works in practice. We review issues, corrective actions and feedback, then use what we learn to improve our methods and support our people.
What is a hold point?
A hold point is a defined stage at which the work must not proceed until the specified inspection, evidence or release has been completed.
Can Livic provide a PS3?
A construction statement may be included where the receiving authority or contract requires it and Livic is the appropriate party for the stated scope. The format, evidence and acceptance need to be agreed.
