Structures / CAPABILITY

Civil Structures.

Retaining structures, reinforced concrete, foundations and associated civil works across Auckland, with practical coordination of engineering interfaces.

Let's talk about your project

THE CIVIL SCOPE

Practical delivery. Connected disciplines.

Livic delivers retaining structures, reinforced concrete, foundations and associated civil works, including technically demanding interfaces and temporary works.

We combine practical delivery experience with engineering support and specialist designers where the job requires it.

Engineered retaining walls
Reinforced concrete
Foundations
Structural excavation
Bridge enabling works
Temporary works coordination
Demolition and reinstatement

Explore the capability

The specialist activities and project interfaces within Structures.

Retaining walls

Deliver the excavation, foundations, wall construction, drainage and reinstatement as a connected sequence. Structural and geotechnical design remains with the appropriately engaged specialist.

Reinforced concrete

Coordinate formwork, reinforcement, embeds, concrete placement and inspections. Interfaces need to be resolved before the pour, not after the concrete arrives.

Foundations

Set-out, excavation, founding conditions and inspection are linked. Unexpected ground is referred to the designer before the next stage proceeds.

Structural excavation

Access, adjacent assets and temporary stability can control the build. Construction planning includes how the excavation will be supported, inspected and handed over.

Bridge civil works

Civil enabling works can include foundations, abutment interfaces, retaining, drainage and concrete. This is not a claim that Livic provides standalone specialist bridge design or complete bridge superstructure construction.

Temporary works

Coordinate the designer, installer and inspection responsibilities for the temporary condition. Permanent works drawings do not, by themselves, define how a structure is safely built.

Demolition & reinstatement

Define what stays, what is removed and how adjoining assets are protected. Reinstatement is part of the package, not an assumption left for the end.

Engineering interfaces

Keep drawings, design changes, requests for information and inspection requirements connected to the construction team. Independent professional design is provided by engaged specialists where needed.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Good questions.

Does Livic design retaining walls?

Livic delivers construction and coordinates the engineering interfaces. Independent professional structural or geotechnical design is provided by an appropriately engaged specialist designer.

Can Livic deliver the earthworks and drainage around a structure?

Yes. Excavation, drainage, foundations, concrete and reinstatement can be combined within the agreed civil scope.

Is Livic a specialist bridge-builder?

The capability described here is associated civil and enabling work, such as foundations, drainage and abutment interfaces. Specialist bridge design and superstructure delivery require separately agreed expertise and responsibilities.
