Project Delivery / CAPABILITY

Construction Methodology.

Buildable methodologies, sequencing, temporary-works interfaces and practical planning before civil construction starts.

Let's talk about your project

THE CIVIL SCOPE

Built around the work.

A good methodology explains how the work can actually be built on the available site. It connects the design with people, plant, access and the required controls.

Livic develops practical construction sequences and coordinates the specialist inputs needed to make them workable.

Sequence the work
Plan for change

Start with constraints

Identify services, access, adjacent assets, operating requirements and design assumptions. These often determine the construction sequence before production rates do.

Sequence the work

Connect temporary works, excavation, installation, testing and reinstatement. Include the approval and inspection points that govern when an activity can proceed.

Plan for change

A methodology needs a clear route for dealing with unexpected conditions. Communicate revisions to the people doing the work and keep superseded instructions out of circulation.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Good questions.

Is a methodology the same as a programme?

No. A methodology describes the proposed method and sequence. The programme adds timing, dependencies and resource or approval constraints. They need to agree.

Does a method statement replace specialist design?

No. Temporary and permanent works that need professional design must be addressed by the appropriately engaged designer.
