East Coast Bays Bridge Club.
Staged drainage improvement at an established community facility in Murrays Bay: drainage investigations, stormwater pipe renewal, subsoil interception and overland flow path construction.
Let's talk about your projectThe challenge
An established building. Ageing drainage infrastructure. Limited room to work.
The East Coast Bays Bridge Club required a practical solution to manage stormwater and subsurface drainage around its existing facilities.
With underground services, building foundations, retaining structures and restricted access to contend with, the project called for more than a straightforward pipe replacement.
Livic Civil needed to understand how water was moving through the site, identify suitable discharge routes and deliver a solution that worked around the infrastructure already in place.
Our approach
Investigate before excavating. Target the drainage problem. Create a controlled flow path.
01 — Investigate before excavating: we started with underground services checks, controlled hydroexcavation and drainage investigations to establish the condition, location and connectivity of the existing stormwater network.
02 — Target the drainage problem: the works incorporated stormwater pipeline renewal and a dedicated subsoil drainage arrangement to intercept groundwater and direct collected water towards a controlled outlet.
03 — Create a controlled flow path: specialist concrete cutting, structural modifications and surface grading established a new overland flow route, supported by compacted basecourse and asphalt reinstatement.
The outcome
A practical, coordinated drainage improvement solution.
The project brought together stormwater renewal, subsurface drainage and surface water management within an established and operational site.
By combining early investigation with targeted civil construction and specialist subcontractor coordination, Livic Civil delivered a joined-up approach to a challenging drainage environment.
The project demonstrates our capability in brownfield drainage remediation, working around existing assets and developing construction solutions that respond to the conditions on site.
