THE CIVIL SCOPE

Built around the work.

Livic Civil constructs and modifies manholes, chambers and associated drainage structures as part of wider civil and pipeline packages.

The finished structure needs to work with the incoming and outgoing pipes, ground conditions, cover level and asset-owner requirements.

The details need to be right before the structure is in the ground: levels, pipe entries, foundations, lifting, access and inspection points. Livic Civil plans the excavation and temporary condition around the actual site, not just the detail on the drawing.

We identify clashes, missing information and buildability issues early, then get the right people around the table before they become site problems. Each stage is checked before it disappears, because a chamber that is backfilled is not where anyone wants to discover a problem.

That is how we raise the bar on quality: clear set-out, sound preparation, controlled installation and records that show what was built. The aim is a structure that works first time, connects properly and does not need to be revisited.

Build the interfaces properly
Excavation, foundations & lifting
Inspection & close-out

Build the interfaces properly

Confirm invert levels, pipe entries, junction details and cover requirements. Drawings and supplier information need to agree before the structure is ordered or installed.

Excavation, foundations & lifting

Plan the excavation, support, founding checks and lifting arrangements around the structure and access. Specialist input is coordinated where needed.

Inspection & close-out

Complete inspections at the relevant stages, record installed details and coordinate specified testing. The handover information needs to identify the actual asset.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Good questions.

Can Livic construct manholes and catchpits?

Yes. The supplied Hakanoa project scope includes manholes and catchpits, alongside stormwater pipelines and associated civil works.

Can existing chambers be modified?

Modification can be included where the design, structural condition, operating arrangements and safe access requirements support it.
